Family fun winter break
Amazing winter break getaway with kids. Enjoyed new years festivities and live music in the main lobby. Loved the pool and water slide. Does get crowded in the evenings but that’s a given after a long day of exploring. Easy access to transportation and nearby shops include Costco, T&T, and loads of yummy food options in Richmond. Outlet mall is 10 minutes away near airport as well. Looking forward to Gordon Ramsay steak opening!

Cleanliness is questionable, our room on the 10th floor had some sort of odor from the bathroom, sorta like dirty mop water musk. Looking at the fixtures, the visible areas are cleaned and dust free however cleanliness lacks the attention to detail where you can see areas where they don’t wipe or dust like the lamp shade supports, the magnifying mirror arms, etc. Free parking and no resort fees are nice, however the location of free parking is a bit inconvenient. It’s about a 5 minute walk down the block but the parking complex also needs attention. Walls, floors, elevators all looks dirty like you expect from a public parking garage. No where near the expectations of a Vegas like resort.

The River Rock was amazing we had a great time and even tried to stay another night. If you don’t pay for vallet be prepared to walk a bit to get to your vehicle, but it’s right near a sky train station for easy transport so you really don’t need your vehicle once you are there. The food court is inside the casino but you can order things to go or use the limit menu from your room. The pool was a hit with our kids. Check out was easy. The staff was kind and helpful always. We will be back.

Second review for this hotel, because it’s just that good. If you have a young family this place is a hidden gem. The pool and waterslide are always a hit for the kids and even the adults! The rooms are clean, beds are comfy. Hotel pricing is affordable.
