The room was small and crowded, difficult for a needed knee scooter. Our bad, we did not request an accessible room. The room was surprisingly dusty. Most disappointing was the lack of coffee cups in the room. There was a coffee pot and coffee supplies, except cups. It was early morning and only one staff member on the front desk, and no housekeeping staff on. So to have our first morning coffee, I had to shower, get dressed, and head to the lobby for cups. We were not impressed at all.

Wonderful place to stay. Plus with temp control in the room, handy during winter. Unfortunate my room faced an alleyway, but not complaining. Convenient walk to BC Place, Roger’s Center, Chinatown, and Gastown. Quality local restaurants nearby.

Booked a King size bed/room, however the room was VERY small. Had no moving space. The room was also very warm and the air conditioning would turn off every few minutes disrupting our sleep as we had to continue to turn it on. TV was also not a smart TV, so we had head to the lobby to ask if there was a way to connect our Netflix account. Staff was confused and not really helpful, and eventually we were able to connect with a little QR code in the room which was totally hidden. Would have wished for a better experience here.

We were there for the 4pm hockey game and couldn’t check in on time, so we missed the entire first period of the game because we had our dog with us. Room was ok aside from large pet stain on carpet immediately upon entering the room. Three carafes of coffee were empty this morning in the lobby. Likely understaffed for the busy weekend. Convenient location, but would likely not return.

The sandman was very conviennent for our stay, the restaurants in the lobby and the many amenities around were great. The parking attached to the hotel is 25$ a night and a truck taller than 6’ won’t fit comfortably. The King room is very tight and would almost be more suitable for a single person. Don’t forget to bring earplugs, the doors let any and all sound come straight into the room and you can hear peoples conversation from in their room.

We went over from the Island for a Canucks game. We got to the hotel earlier than check in, figured we'd just see if we could park as we got food and did a wander. Sid checked and was able to get us into our room early! Pool was great for the kids, hot tub was great for me! Super close to Rogers Arena, and two restaurant options in the same building as the hotel.

Don’t get me wrong The staff here are very friendly and helpful, their doing the best they can.. but overall this was our second time staying here in a month thinking it was going to be better then the first time but we still had problems… like there was still hair everywhere in our room, smeared on the walls, in around our sink. It took like ~20min of running the water to even get lukewarm water to come out of the taps/shower. Our heat thermostat in our room was disconnected so we couldn’t control it, it was blowing cold air the whole time during our stay. And all we got was a $20.00 breakfast voucher for one person in return for the “in convenience”

If you’re going to Roger’s Area you wanna stay here, it’s a 3-5 minute walk. The hotel was very nice and clean.

Unexpected upgrades and value, would stay again

We had never stayed downtown, and with the price we got, we worried about the property. Well, no concerns at all! we got a recently remodelled room with modern accessories at the headboard for your gadgets (like built in A and C chargers), a wireless cell charging alarm clock, and a very nicely sized TV. Bathroom was obviously recently remodelled and looked sharp. View from our room on the 8th floor was also very nice. There are also two restaurants on site. Pool area was hard to get to, but once there, it was a treat; large windows on two walls providing views of downtown to the north and east 3 floors up from street level. The hot tub was large and the pool had a deep end. All this for under 150 on a Saturday night!
