Stayed at this property for 6 days. The staff were friendly however, the hotel is tired and in need of updating. The rooms were average and the furniture is aged out (desk chair falling apart, bed was average etc). The room was noisy, air handling system was rumbling and made strange noises when shutting off. The free parking was a perk and there were a couple of breakfast restaurants conveniently located next to or near the hotel. Also the lobby bar and restaurant were very good. The location was not ideal for travelling to downtown Vancouver as the traffic was often heavy taking us more than an hour to get to our downtown destinations. Overall this hotel does not meet the 4 star rating on Expedia. A 3 star rating is more appropriate for this property.

Check in service provided by Dennis was excellent. Our room was in the Columbia Tower offered great views and was spacious, however it is in need of a refresh or updating. We liked the location and access to Chops restaurant which offered great food and service. We appreciated that we were able to store our bags after check out as our departure to the airport was not necessary until later.

Kind of a dumpy hotel. The rooms are all brown and depressing. The coffee shop in the lobby is open very limited hours, and has limited selection, leaving Denny's as your primary option. Had take out from Chop twice. First time was pretty good, second time was pretty lousy. Some of the staff is really nice, but also received some officious service "Well sir, we can't accommodate early check in because we are an "Airport Hotel"". Not sure the relevance - just tell me if you have a room available or not. Also seems like some of the rooms are rented out to social services. There were people in the units below mine standing outside (some units have back entrances to the parking lot) smoking crack or meth something like that (not pot or tobacco) early in the morning. One interesting positive. The hotel was built in 1962, and has a really funky outdoor pool that the hotel is built around. Feels pretty retro.

At the price what they charge per night , carpet in the room very dirty, bathroom old, fridge did not work , caffe maker … my goodness , they took the part where you put the caffe out . When I asked the staff she does not have it and if I want to go at the front desk to ask for it . Really ? Waw !!
