Shangri-La Vancouver was an exceptional stay with respectful staff, a large room size for two, and a location at the heart of downtown. The daily evening service was appreciated, with kind staff and many complimentary goods. The included breakfast at Carlino (bib gourmand) also had a calm ambiance, alongside its great menu and city view. It was walking distance from most if not all the prominent landmarks and locations of the downtown area.

We were treated horrible for coming from the states. There was dill pickles in the lobby! They didn’t honor our VIP credit. The spa is a disappointment has no steam room for the men and the sauna wasn’t warm. Vincent acted aggressive and they didn’t honor $50 inconveniences credit. Our bedding had someone else’s blood stains. Baris was rude and it took 40 min to check in because they gave us someone else’s room with their cookie amenity. Very rude staff and they serve spoiled food and there negligence could have caused us food poisoning.I would never recommend this motel 6 of a hotel this should be stripped from Forbes and pictures will be sent to them.

I was a little disappointed with this property. Seeing I’ve traveled to other Shangri-La’s, I was expecting something different. This property isn’t large at all, the hallways are very narrow, there’s no lounge area, they have a small restaurant with a bar which was lovely. The hotel is not in pristine shape, it’s quite run down for a luxury hotel. I’d expect these conditions at a Marriott or Ritz Carlton, but not at a Shangri-La. The location was great, right downtown, walkable to many things. Close to the water and all the shops on Robson. High end stores within minutes. Everything for me was within a few minute walk. The views are also terrible due to the location and there aren’t a lot of amenities. The hotel is so small they only had one steam room in the women’s change room and the sauna was in the men’s. Which I found odd but I guess they were tight for space. You do really really that everything was tight and narrow. All that being said, the staff were exceptional right from when I stepped out of my Uber right till when I checked out. I would recommend this place but I wouldn’t except luxury. The restaurant was fine, the food wasn’t over the top but it did the trick, and they were very accommodating.

This hotel is exceptional. We were there to attend a conference. It was conveniently located with lots of great restaurants within walking distance. The front desk was wonderful and pleasant. They were there for us at every request. I will be recommending Shangri-La to anyone who is going to Vancouver. I will be back for sure!
