Some rooms are in need of serious updating. We were given another room after I asked for something newer. Overall a great stay and we enjoyed the heated outdoor pool and complimentary breakfast. Would stay there again. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We were visiting family in the area. Thoroughly enjoyed the full breakfast in the morning. Took advantage of the pool when it was 28°C outside. Used the sauna as well. Walked to Joey's Coquitlam restaurant 20 minute exercise both ways. Hubby enjoyed the gym in the morning

This property said they were non smoking but from the moment you walked in to the hotel, the smell of old smoke was evident. The individual room was clean and nice. The breakfast was lackluster. The staff were very kind and understanding of our concerns of all of the common areas smelling of smoke and the smoke wafting in to our room under the door.

I was so upset when we arrived to the hotel. The woman at the front desk told me my room wasn't pet friendly. We made this booking a couple weeks prior, and it was filtered by pet friendly when I booked. The lady said that specific room wasn't pet friendly. I totally understand some rooms aren't pet friendly...but it's your job to advertise that in the listing just like other hotels do. This isn't my first time bringing my dog, and other hotels always speficy when a certain room isn't pet friendly. I was more than willing to change rooms but she said they were all booked up. All of the other hotels I have ever looked though on expedia make sure to list when a room isn't pet friendly. Usually they put it in the discription or add that in brackets to the title of the room. Not this one. The lady waited until I was in tears stating that I might have to sleep on the street tonight to offer a solution. We drove 25 hours to get here. Her solution was to charge us an EXTRA cleaning fee ON TOP of our pet fee. That was totally unfair and uncalled for considering their lack of organization with their listing. I would never stay at this location again. I already paid nearly 300 to stay there for 8 hours to just sleep before fees. They lost business, because when I returned from Vancouver Island I purposely booked a different hotel the week after. That hotel didn't charge me a pet fee at all. will update if rectified.

Everything about this hotel was mostly good the only problem just happened to be a big problem. The bathroom was falling apart and there was water damage on most of the walls. The worst part was as soon as we got into the room I turned on the bathroom light and a german cockroach scurried across the floor. After my partner squashed that one we saw several more over the two days we were there. It was quite unsettling and definitely made the stay less comfortable than I was hoping for.
