I can't believe the reviews that state this place was clean or decent to stay at. It's mind boggling on how the obvious dirt wasn't sern and cleaned by the staff. From hair and skin debris at the edge of the pool, to the toothpaste on the mirrors and taps, the dirty windows, the smell of old cigarette smoke, one tiny pillow per person with torn covers, no top cover on the duvet, dirty carpet and the list goes on. I have photos which I will share. Staff was great and understanding of our disgust, especially with 2 small daughters being exposed to the crud. They moved us to a cleaner room but it wasn't any better. The tv wasn't working, and the pool wasn't even close to being sanitary. Im sure there must be violations regarding the proper protocol for cleaning the pool. Im so upset. We told the staff we would go get supper with our tired and hungry 4 year olds while they worked on getting in touch with the manager. When we got back to the hotel there wasn't any solution and we decided to 'not' stay. By the time we checked into a much nicer hotel in the same area, for not much more in price, it was after 10pm. We came to Vancouver from Penticton to take the girls to see the Wiggles. It was a very special trip, our first little holiday, and with money we saved up for almost a year. Im a student so there was no extra money for a different hotel but we just couldn't let our girls stay or play anywhere. The pool was supposed to be our fun family time so that was disappointing.
