Quaint and comfy

Just a short one night stay but everyone was so friendly and the room was large and warm and comfortable. Nespresso machine was a gem and the location is great and convenient to the Gastown area!

The staff was wonderful and very accommodating to all requests. We arrived before check in time, but our room was ready within a few minutes of us getting there. They help bring our luggage to our room and stored it for us when we checked out. The room was beautiful and fully upgraded.

Hotel is excellent. Had everything that a person would need for a nice stay. Bed was comfortable, room was spotless and nice staff. Will definitely book again. The only negative is no fault of the hotel, but downtown Vancouver is being destroyed by homelessness, drugs and immigration. The Canadian politicians and government should be ashamed of itself.

The hotel was under construction but it did not impact our trip. Our room was nice and large and well designed. Coffee was plentiful and the staff was friendly. Especially the young lady that checked us in. I don't remember her name but she provided us with a variety of options for dining and activities. The area directly around the hotel was not great. A lot of closed businesses. The area picked up by walking North, South, or West a block or 2 though.

Amazing boutique hotel

My husband, Aunt and I stayed here for one night after we got back from going on an Alaskan cruise and we loved everything about this hotel. The only reason it’s not getting five stars is because it was very hard to sleep with our room facing a very busy street and the AC unit they had installed in the window, made it impossible to block out the noise from cars, sirens and screaming transients outside the hotel. We would definitely stay here again and would just know to ask for a different room or maybe ask to have the AC unit removed so that the window shuts entirely. The front desk girl was so sweet and accommodating, and got us into our room a few hours before check-in. Someone brought all of our luggage up and unfortunately, we were unable to tip them as my aunt who was in the room at the time did not have any Canadian bills. So a huge thank you to the super friendly and professional staff.

Great newly renovated hotel but the area is full of homeless and drug addicts that make the place unsafe day and night Toilet over flowed and waste and sewerage went over bathroom floor - they fixed the toilet but took 6 hours to clean the area

Superior Stay

I stayed here for 3 nights. The hotel staff were always kind, patient, positive and helpful. From housekeeping to the front desk the staff seemed to care that you were taken care of. One person was taking a moment to rescue a ladybug from the elevator - I thought to myself that these people really care - and helped with the efforts. The hotel itself is in a great location - very walkable. I never used my rental car while there. There is a market a block away that has small dinner portions and regular market fare. In addition, there are lots of coffee shops, pastery places, full menu restaurants, and lots of choices (poke, Italian, Mexican, Vietnamese, etc). The room was well organized from the umbrella you could borrow in the closet to the robes, nespresso machine, mini fridge with creamers and water. The amenities are cruelty free, smelled good and were of good quality. I typically prefer my own soaps and shampoos/conditioners when in a hotel, but this time I used their supplies. The shower was clean, the water pressure excellent, and it was as hot as you could want it. The black out curtains helped at night time and the ability to open one of the windows meant that you don't have to rely on forced air all the time. In all, this is one of the best hotels I have stayed at and I have stayed at a great many.

They are investing a lot to make this a nice place and it shows; I was pleasantly surprised! Renovations are still happening which makes parking crowded (I didn't have a car), but I wasn't disturbed by it. The area has a lot to offer and there is a new grocery store on the next block in the renovated Post building. Some might be put off by Vancouver's visible homeless problem that starts a few blocks east of the hotel - but its not dangerous. The shower faucets deserve mention - loved the push button interface! Enjoyed my stay!
