Room was t like the photo at all. Dirty old from t desk area. We didn’t stay in our room we left to find another hotel. Sofa was stained , bath had peeling paint !!!!! Couldn’t use it - the whole room was horrible - I lost my room fee but I couldn’t sleep there :(:(:(

Good location but machines need improvement

We liked the old architecture and cleanliness. The air conditioner should have worked better and the bathroom fan didn't work. Beds were on the hard sde of comfort.

Noisy? The Irish bar across the alley, that is simply a risk in a small place like Victoria. The drunks fighting below our window at 330 a.m., an underscore of awesomeness. The rude female clerk at the front desk? Sorry we bothered you, feel free to go back to telling your coworker your work complaints. You spin a yarn better than Mickey Spillane.

Checking in was a bit tricky as the street was closed so we couldn't get to the front of the hotel by car. The staff figured it out for us and we did not have any problems again during our stay. Loved the quirky, historical building; great shower with endless hot water, deep soaker tub ( with jets); comfy queen bed. Would have preferred a king size, but the queen was still comfy w/nice bedding and pillows. I will stay here again! The location was incredible - just walk out the front door into the action on government street - pubs, restaurants, stores, etc. Perfect, perfect location.

Had a very decent stay here. The noise we encountered was the very lively sea gulls who didn’t seem to ever stop. The parking is tricky but considering we were right in the hub of the action and could walk everywhere we needed to, it was not a problem in the end.

Comfortable large room…top floor suite. Very noisy at night ( weekend) Ample room to spread out our gear. Old building. Small fridge on the floor!! Sink, cooktop self catering area with no resources ( no plates, cups and cutlery…very odd) Fire alarm went off in middle of night. We complied and evacuated. After fire brigade visit and check we returned to our room. No follow up nor details from staff the next morning…disappointing lack of communication.
