Embassy Inn is centrally located so within walking distance of almost anything in Victoria. The breakfast was great and the rooms were good size. The ability to open the door with a screen onto the patio was great way to let in fresh air at night.

Location was great. We booked a room with two queen size beds for 4 people and they gave us two double beds. When asked about this, they told us they were queens and unfortunately had no other rooms available. Our room was at the end of the hall and it was quite small for 4 people. Also no air conditioning, but fortunately we were on the 4th floor and could keep the patio door open.

The Embassy Inn is tucked away just a block from the main thoroughfare. The welcoming staff and easy parking were nice. I loved the little balcony where we could hear the clip-clop of the carriage horses. Breakfast was a flurry of guests, with staff keeping the buffet ready. Being so close to the wharf and restaurants made it pleasant to walk around.

Although an older building on the outside, the inside is clean and up to date. Complimentary breakfast is great with lots of choice. Close to Inner Harbour. Friendly staff.

A very nice stay

I was surprised by the comfort of the beds and pillows but why are the sheets so stiff? The sliding door was so nice for fresh air. The bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was good and the coffee was great. We would definitely stay again.

Utter incompetence supreme

I’ve stayed here probably a dozen times. This time the staff made the error of putting five (5) pre authorizations on my credit card of $$$$$ x5 instead of just one. If I lived paycheck to paycheck, this would be a very bad situation for me. They told me that they tried to take off the pre authorizations and that it will “go away after 7 business days”. I asked for an email acknowledging their mistake and I’m willing to share but denied on this platform. I will not be staying here again. I tried to post proof of this occurrence but have been denied.

Great Hotel for Family Vacations

The Embassy Inn was perfect for our family vacation! Our suite was large which gave us lots of room to sleep, play, and eat. The free breakfast had a lot of variety and made it easy first thing in the morning. Although we didn't end up using it, I was really happy the hotel had coin laundry available for guests. The location was perfect - a short walk from lots of restaurants, tourist sites, and Beacon Hill Park. Also, the folks we dealt with in person were really helpful. The hotel is a little older, and the kitchen in our suite was not very well equipped and had almost zero counter space, but this would not stop me from booking again in the future. I also wish that the parking was not $20 a night, but I know this is fairly commonplace these days. Overall I would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others, especially those travelling with small children.
