My husband and I have stayed before. Great location - close to Beacon Hill Park. Dallas Road. Downtown with great pubs, breweries, restaurants and shoppings. Rooms are clean. Quiet.

Great location very close to all the major sites and downtown as well as Beacon Hill Park. Smallish room but well laid out and comfortable. The staff were very helpful and complimentary coffee was always available. There was a lovely courtyard in the back and that was a relaxing area to sit and enjoy a coffee and read. Complimentary newspaper was also provided. Really, the only negative was the noisy air conditioner which we opted to turn off when we went to bed so we could sleep. However, it certainly worked well and kept the room niceand cool. Our room was located near the main road so traffic could be a bit noisy at times especially if there were sirens from ambulances or police cars going by. However, the majority of the rooms do not face the road and would be much quieter. We would book here again for sure.

Location is great!

Third time staying here with each stay in a different building. Great location! Free parking too. Friendly staff. Easy walking distance of attractions, restaurants and pubs and shopping too. Only noted one minor issue on this stay. The kitchen cupboards insides were in need if a wipe. Otherwise an enjoyable stay!

Perfect for a family stay in Victoria!

Perfect location, right beside the royal BC museum, 2 minute walk to Parliament, and short 5-10 minute walk to central downtown. Convenient that it has a full kitchen that is fully stocked with utensils/pans/plates/bowls/cups/cutting board/knives/scissors, even with dish sponges, dish detergent, paper towels, dish cloth, kitchen towel, full size fridge/freezer, stove, oven (with baking pan!), microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker that actually makes good strong coffee for a hotel. Lots of lighting, not like your typical very dim Hotel room. Sofa bed that comes with a full size extra futon mattress so it is very comfortable. Old building but very clean. Very happy with this hotel!

Victoria’s Secret

Perfect location for a stroll in the park across the street which is a mega park with wildlife. Close to everything. Two blocks walking to the Empress Hotel. Will stay there again.

Clean boutique Inn in the heart of downtown Victor

The inn was situated in a quiet neighborhood in downtown Victoria, within walking distance to everything. The front desk Asian woman was friendly. We lost our parking slip and she promptly gave us a replacement. We had a one bedroom suite. The unit was clean, but the air conditioning was inadequate. There was only one window AC unit in the bedroom, and none in the living room, which made it uncomfortable at night – I woke up feeling overheated.

We stayed in a suite that surprised us in how big it was. There was a full kitchen with separate living room and a bedroom with two double beds. I’d recommend this room for a family as the couch pulls out too. Next time we’re in Victoria, we’ll definitely stay at the Helms Inn.

Hotel is fine for the price. Not the cleanest or best condition rooms I have seen, but since we spent most of our time away from the hotel, that wasn't a big deal. From the hotel you can easily walk to all of the interesting tourist spots in Victoria or easily access the plentiful transit option. The hotel is also across the street from a large and beautiful park and next to the Royal BC Museum which is worth a visit.

Lovely, wonderful quaint place

Wonderful stay! The staff member who helped us on 07/18/25 at roughly between 9-930pm was kind. He even ran out to our vehicle to make sure we had a parking space. Place itself was great — spacious, clean, well lit, well equipped, and all small details were well appreciated. Would stay again as we enjoyed our first time in Victoria!
