One Night Stay

We stayed for one night on our way to Vancouver and had a great experience. Premises are very clean and comfortable. Loved the decor and lighting of the place which gave it a comfy feeling. Breakfast was great, lots of choices, coffee was particularly good. Overall a great experience.

We stayed at this hotel with our family and, unfortunately, had a very disappointing experience. Starting as early as 7:00 AM on both Saturday and Sunday, there was extremely loud construction noise coming from inside the hotel. The heavy grinding was disruptive and woke up our children, making it impossible for us to rest properly. When I raised the issue with the front desk, I was told the noise was from a neighboring property. However, after checking outside, it was clear there was no construction nearby — the noise was clearly coming from inside one of the hotel rooms. I found this lack of honesty very concerning. Since we had checked in late on Friday night, we were especially looking forward to some rest, but instead, our stay was cut short by the noise and mismanagement. I would not recommend this hotel until they resolve the construction and improve communication with guests.

I waited 20 minutes at just after 7pm for the front desk clerk to appear and check me in. There was no backup. She then answered the phone rather than giving me her undivided attention. The phone number in the sign to call if there was no one there, was the front desk number. I listened to it ring while I waited I told her the hotel systems were poor. After check in I asked her for directions to a place to buy a bottle of wine. She sent me in the wrong direction

Incredibly rude front staff. Never in my life have I been asked for a secondary ID, especially that has a physical address? And yet my parents were questioned incessantly when they checked in, under their own name no less. For what reason? The ID was valid, matched their name perfectly, and the contact information and address was provided in the online reservation. I wish I had been there to stand up for the utter embarrassment of what should have been an easy, smooth check in. I am not sure if it is the fault of a rotten apple, or if the whole tree needs to be uprooted from the ground. I have been told that this is standard hotel policy, that all guests must sign and fill out a guest reservation form upon check-in. But again, I have never in my entire life been asked to fill out a guest reservation form in person after booking a hotel room online. Not a single hotel, not a single time. Gurinder, the staff who checked my parents in, tells me this is standard policy. And yet, why have I never been asked of this my entire life? Something to ponder before checking in this hotel.
