Smokers next door
We had a very enjoyable room looking out on the water, which was spacious and comfortable. The only downside was that the people in the room next to ours were smoking on their balcony. When we had the sliding door to the balcony open we could smell smoke coming in so we had to keep it closed, which defeats the purpose of a balcony. We mentioned it to the front desk staff a couple of times. This is the first time we have ever had this kind of issue in a hotel room.

Great harbor front hotel. Walking distance to everything for a tourist. Right in the harbor next to the Legislative Assembly Building so you are right there in the middle of tourist hub. Only 3 long blocks from the Bus depot from Vancouver, one long block to the FRS Clipper boat to Seattle and in front of the ferry terminal. Hotel is nice and clean with very helpful and friendly staff. Only issue I had was unfriendly TV with no channel designation that did not allow channel number entry and loose remote cover that kept coming off. But I would return if I am back in Victoria again.

Check-in staff was somewhat unexcited about their job. Restaurant staff were between good and excellent. I did forget my wallet in the room after checkout and management did get in touch with me quickly; I appreciate that. Building condidtion needed work; trees outside were removed and replaced with cones, a bank of elevators was out of order, the elevator finishes were warn, and wallpaper in the bathroom seems to be close to needing replacement.

Very nice room, clean and quiet. Only negative was that the sauna was broken. But rest of health club was great 👍 Best hamburger I've had in a long time!

Best friend and I took a quick mom's escape vacation and stayed in a harbor view suite. Fantastic view of the MV Coho and inner harbor, especially at night. Staff was very attentive and helpful. Bed was so comfortable. The tub was deep and blissful. Luggage storage both before and after check in/out is incredibly helpful and secure.

I love the location of this hotel and that you can actually find suite-sized rooms for a relatively reasonable price. While they accepted our dog despite the fact she is over 40 pounds, I do find the 40 pound max strange given you are allowed 2 dogs (combined weight of 40) who can yap and bark all night long, while our 48 pound dog is quiet, kind, clean etc. But a great hotel and would highly recommend.
