Hotel Rialto is in a heritage building in downtown Victoria. It has kept its vintage feel, but with modern conveniences. It was clean, and quiet and the front desk staff was always polite and super friendly. We loved the touch of in floor heating in our bathroom. The hotel was close to China Town.m and government street and we were able to walk to the harbour for our whale watching tour. The only downside was the parking situation. You have to park in a parkade across the street kitty corner from the hotel. But it is underground and secure so not a deal breaker.

The property and staff are clean and friendly. Sadly, we did not receive any "VIP" extras that we were supposed to. Also, we were told that there would be coffee, fruit and pastries in the morning and there was only coffee and fruit. That being said the manager was kind and made an exception when we needed to amend our original reservation.

It's hard to call in this property. I was hold for $100 deposit but did not see the refund yet.. No matter saying the bill by email. I am wondering how long I should expect processing of it. I will add my comments later if that was processed.

Nice hotel, very noisy as we heard sirens each night, and loud traffic sounds. Staff was very helpful and nice. Hotel was clean and nice, the bar seemed to be a bit of a Hotspot. Food and drinks were great.

We had a wonderful stay. The room was beautiful and clean. Well within walking distance of the waterfront and the Parliment building. Chinatown and Old town only a few blocks away. Would recommend.

The hotel was nice and our room was great. It was in a good location for walking to anything and found it very convenient. Unfortunately our flight was cancelled the day we were set to arrive, and upon calling the hotel they were not able to tell me if I would be charged for the room that night. When we arrived the next day, they said I would have to come back at 4:00 to talk to the manager. When I came back they said I would need to come back again the next day to talk to a different manager about whether they would charge me for the night I missed. It felt like they were just shoving me off to someone else to deal with. I was informed that the “hotel would suffer because they were not able to rent the room out to a different guest” the day that my flight was cancelled. I didn’t appreciate the sentiment as I gave them lots of heads up that our flight was cancelled, and I, as the customer, am at a much greater disadvantage because I am now out the cost of the room. Also, we were not able to immediately check in to our room which makes me think they did in fact rent the room out and we had to wait for them to clean it They also blamed Expedia for the fact that they couldn’t reimburse me, which I do not find a credible reason. Overall, I found the manager I talked to as rude, but the stay itself was good, as long as you do not get a flight cancelled I would recommend!
