happy to stay at the Dog

Hotel is charming - nothing super fancy - but clean, friendly and easy to access with very friendly staff. Breakfast was good, pub is great.

Loved this hotel and would recommend to anyone coming to this end of the island. Although 30 minutes from Victoria, it’s well worth it. Staff were friendly, breakfast was great, rooms were updated but still kept the original hotel charm.

Great stop after ferry

Excellent beautiful English cottage vibe . Rooms were awesome snd staff amazing they gave us a room so we could look out on the bike and also late check out . Breakfast was also very good lots of choices and fresh fruit . Location perfect when unloading from ferry for a night .

Hotel is lovely. Like visiting an old English property. Super clean! The lady on the desk was awesome. Ran upstairs to see if the room was ready early for us! Clearly loved her job! Rooms are spacious and clean. Look almost brand new!

The stay was quite good and the staff were also very polite and supportive. The only service that was not on the good side for us was on the 2nd day we had expected our room to be serviced without informing to any staff since we had to leave early so we could not notify. Only upon returning we found our room as is and the next day we told requested at the lobby for room service for that day. But overall it was a pleasant stay.
