We had a lovely spacious clean room with all we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast and dinner menus were excellent. We hope to return there soon.

Great location in the city. Can be a bit noisy until the bar closes. Good for a light traveler, could be a bit hard to haul a heavy bag up the stairs. Room was comfortable.

The Ambassador Hotel is beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly and professional! The hotel is in a lovely locations, the rooms are all unique and have lovely views, comfortable beds, and luxury bedding. The restaurant is top notch!!!

Very tired old property. When they showed us the room it first reminded me of one of the servant quarters in a recent historic house tour. We booked a classic double. The room was damp, full of dusty furniture and the bed mattress springs were gone. There was a tiny window with a view to nothing. We lasted 10 mins and left. The manager gave us lots of options, one being the same room type and the other being the front door with just an apology and no refund offered. First time I ever left a property because of the condition but it was our final night in Scotland and I wanted somewhere special. This wasn’t it. It’s 2 star accommodation for 4 star prices. Didn’t stay to rate the food but the living room and dining decor seriously needs a makeover for 2026. It’s not 1926!

This was a great place for us to stay because of its location very close to the train station, restaurants and shopping within walking distance. The loud music from the nearby bars was bothersome, but we were willing to put up with that because of the location, and they stopped about one o’clock. Breakfast was mainly bread. They do have a washer and dryer available after 6. And they stored our luggage until we could leave.

Everything was exceptional. The hospitality from Graham and Sheena was second to none. We got lost our first night out and after a quick call, Graham got us back on track and was actually on his way out to find us when we turned up the drive! That is the level of hospitality provided. Breakfast was delectable! Fresh, buttery croissants, creamy eggs, tasty haggis, sweet fried tomatoes and the tenderest bacon! The beds were so comfortable and the pillows so fluffy!!! The Walker shortbread in the room just cinches the entire package!!! Blervie House is the go too destination during your stay in Scotland!!! Truly wonderful place and amazing hosts. 🥰😍❤️

Nice clean hotel, and well maintained grounds, but a bit unimaginative with breakfast options. Not much beyond the fry-up options. Being an old building it was also a bit noisy with squeaky floorboards and creaky stairs.
