Hotel was wonderful and the price was so reasonable. It was in the middle of a quaint fortress old town just a couple of blocks from the Rhine River. It was super close to the train station. It made us feel like we were living 10 centuries ago but yet the hotel was totally updated and very comfortable. Would love to go back.

Just an amazing hotel. I’ve stayed quite regularly this year and it’s become a real favourite spot… Highly recommended, it’s in a great location in Basel and the staff are all incredible.

The first thing you notice about the property is it's location in the old town area of Basel. The next thing you notice is the beautiful view of the homes and businesses in the old but magical looking buildings. It just gets better from there. The staff great you immediately as you enter reception and pleasantly help you to get your room information. If you dropped of your luggage before the room was ready, like we did, when you come back to get your key, you find your luggage is already in the room. That was just our first afternoon. The room we had is small, but if you have traveled in Europe before, that is pretty normal. The room was on the upper floor and our windows, all faced the Rhine River, which was great. It proximity to old town mad it convenient to walk everywhere, and we did. Love this place and the staff. I would love to see it in winter during Christmas. I hope you consider this property for your stay in Basel.
