This hotel was a really great find both for location, amenities, and teh building. Was in town for an event that had us at both the convention center and US Bank Stadium. Out the front door and to the left you are 10 minutes walking distance from the convention center, out the front door and to the right you are 10 minutes walking distance to the stadium. They do also offer a shuttle to the convention center, have a really neat and well kept swim area with hot tub, restaurant on site, rooms are quiet and clean, and there's free milk and cookies every night! And the staff - they are the nicest people who do whatever to help you enjoy your stay! This is truly a hidden gem in Minneapolis and I'd stay 100 more times

If your looking to spend time in the room or dinning at the Nicollet Island Inn. I dont think you will be disappointed. Everything is close to the hotel. A quick Uber ride and your in down town Mpls or St.Paul. I have stayed here a few times. The thing I have liked is a simple thing. You get a real door key. Funny yes but not something one gets anymore.

The breakfast available at Prairie Kitchen and Bar was amazing. We stayed for three days, and they had the best breakfast options in the area. You can have a decent, essential meal with rotating pork, chicken, and beef sausages; a variety of potatoes prepared differently every day; ham and salmon at the charcuterie board; some fruit and special juices; honey from a honeycomb; pickles; and yogurt to energize you for the day's travel. What is even more impressive is the full indoor basketball court and spacious gym, where you can actually spend time as if you live there. The swimming pool is more like a tub and does not offer much of a swimming experience. You can walk to the Minnesota Orchestra Hall, and although the skyway route is a little indirect, you do not have to step outside if you do not want to.

Strange elevator system where you can only go to floor 4 to get a second elevator up to the rooms, but wasn’t completely awful if you made sure to leave some commute time to get up and down.

Clean room and good parking

We stayed overnight for a concert at Target Field and didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel/room overall, but it worked well for our purposes! It was a walkable distance (just over 20 minutes) to the venue. The staff were welcoming and helpful—in particular giving us a late night pizza recommendation after returning from the concert! The room had all the basics needed for a comfortable night’s sleep. Good value for the money!
