There were several minor issues that were taken care of promptly, although the elevator was out the entire weekend. The air conditioning worked properly and the noise was very minimal. I was in the room next to the ice machine and you couldn't hear anything once the door was closed. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. Being able to walk to two of the areas of the park was also convenient. The front desk staff were pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was a slight disappointment in that the buffet was the only thing they served all three days. When I went in the first day and was told it was buffet only, I specifically asked if this would be the case the next day and they said no, Saturday is traditionally buffet only, but Sunday they allow for ordering from the menu. That was not the case. As there were a couple things I wanted to try, I was disappointed that I couldn't. Since the menu is in every room and posted outside the door, a simple sign saying buffet only when the menu was unavailable would have been appreciated. That said, the food was good, homemade, and they did a good job keeping it refilled. Only recommendation would be to invest in some mesh trays to keep the biscuit bottoms from overcooking on the hot tray and to elevate the bacon out of the grease. (Though the bacon was piled high and very crispy when not at the bottom.) But these are minor quibbles.

The bed was extremely comfortable.

Very noisy from bar next door and road traffic late at night. Otherwise, a beautiful property, large bathroom and comfortable bed.

Its not just old. The bed mattress was brown from years of wear and no maintenance. Sheets were so warn out they would have never stayed on the bed if you tried to sleep on them. Absolutely disgusting,

This property is not at all what the pictures show. This place is not very clean. The bathroom had a musty smell. Room windows had a large Crack that was glued. The air fan was extremely loud making it hard to sleep. There were dirty towels laying in the hallway. At 12:30 in the morning I could hear men walking the hall cursing and making obscene remarks. I would never stay here or recommend anyone to in the future.

I’ve stayed in many inns& this is a nice inn. But it could be better. On arrival, the grass was a bit overgrown. However, it did get mowed the next day (Saturday). A vacuum cleaner was left in the hallway, & a ladder was left open in another hallway. The owner‘s daughter was getting married the following day so understandable that it was a busy time. But with a business partner, these small things could have been avoided. Breakfast was included in the room rate. They advertise that the breakfast is made to order. Mine may have been made to order, but it looked and tasted like it was made hours earlier. It was just okay. On my second day, they forgot to prepare breakfast for me and gave me $24 to compensate. The room is nicely furnished, but one of the lamps was defective. Both were turned on and off by touch. On one lamp, I touched in every location to turn the lamp on and off to the point that my finger was uncomfortable, and I gave up on trying to find the right place to turn it off with touch and had to loosen the bulb to get the light turned off. The ceiling fan light is also defective. Twice in the middle of the night, the light came on and I had to get up and dabble with the remote to get it turned off which was a sleep interruption. I recommend that they put at least one bottle of water in the refrigerator for guests along with tissues in the bathroom. Front porch is nice! I rate it an 8.0.
