Staff were amazing as was the breakfast, however our room was a bit tired and dated looking, even though we paid for a room upgrade. There were no USB charging points in the rooms and the bathroom definitely needs renovating. Also our room was on the second floor, front facing,so the road noise was quite loud. Request a rear view, or a room on a high floor.

Lovely property with helpful staff. Sundays are busy with the Sunday supper - lots of families - but otherwise a quiet, restful stay!

Unfortunately there were several major issues on this visit. In the room the tv did not work properly, the kettle was faulty and the bathroom door did not close properly. We were given another room which was great. Then the hot water failed on the hotel and we were 24 hours without hot water in the room. No gesture of goodwill offered eg a drinks voucher for the bar. I understand this was a city problem but a flat refusal from the management for any compensation for this. Not good to have to have a cold wash and hair wash. Breakfast standards gone down in the 2 months since our last visit. We visit relatives in Southampton but will be looking elsewhere for future visits.

The hotel is close to the cruise terminal. Good place to stay before a cruise departs

Amazing stay, staff very helpful, Food is delicious, rooms were lovely and comfortable, although we weren’t going on a cruise on this occasion, but this hotel will definitely a contender when we do, location is fantastic.
