I had a great stay at Megapolis. The breakfast was great and the hotel was always clean and fragrant. I would rebook this hotel on a return trip to Panama.

It was a charming property and the check in staff was helpful and polite. Room was clean but there was a musty smell in the bedroom and the air conditioning was very loud. I suppose because it is an older property.

Check-in required we provide passport. The water pressure was low and the hot water required multiple plumber visits. Communication was excellent. The bed was the most comfortable ever. Unobstructed views. Location was very convenient to casco square, wholesale district, indoor produce market, massive seafood market and outdoor gym. As well proximity to canal, museums, restaurants etc. Uber got us around, cash with InDrive app is another option. Outdoor night noises were a bit too much at times, they provided ear plugs at the bedside. If we choose to return in the future, I’ll surely need confirmation that the hot water and water pressure have been permanently resolved. No reimbursement has been provided thus far.

We booked a suite, which was very spacious and had a great view. In addition to the full bathroom, there was also a convenient half bath near the entrance. The bed was comfortable, and having robes and slippers is always a nice touch. Breakfast was easily a 10/10! It was included with our stay and offered a great mix of traditional breakfast items and local cuisine. There were plenty of options, with different selections each day, which we really appreciated. The hotel was also conveniently located. Ubers were generally between 7–15 minutes to pretty much everywhere we needed to go, including the mall, restaurants and other places we visited. Overall, the service was good. It does help to know a little Spanish, as most of the employees spoke limited English, but we were still able to communicate and get what we needed. The biggest downside was the smell in the hallway leading to our room. There was a noticeable mildew/wet, stale smell, and a similar smell was also present in the room. We reported it and housekeeping came by, which helped a bit. We also purchased an air freshener during our stay to help with the smell. Washcloths weren’t always readily available and weren’t consistently replaced when the room was serviced, so we had to request them. The room also did not have a microwave, which would have been convenient. Aside from the smell, particularly in the hallway, which the hotel should definitely address, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I would highly recommend, the service I received was impeccable and just a wonderful experience! I was a bit hesitant regarding the location but once I got there, it turned out to be perfect. The concierge staff was such a pleasure to work with especially ‘Jerry’, who provided recommendations and information. This was such a blessing to us. I would stay here again in a heart beat. It’s a must stay!
