Carlton Vacation Packages

Really cool conversion of the first city hall of Duluth into a boutique hotel. Our room was on the "first" floor (really the basement) without any windows, which was a little freaky at first. It was so quiet, we felt we were the only people in the building, even though there were several lounges/bars. We parked in the secure parking ramp across the street, which meant we were walking by a number of unhoused people with all of our luggage. There are NO actual staff on the premises, but the many texts that we received were sufficient in terms of checking in/out, and gaining access to the building and our rooms.

We had a nice, updated, clean room. Breakfast was good. Fun little pancake maker. Coffee and water station was convenient Coffee sometimes not hot enough. Water sometimes low. Beds were comfy. All in all a nice place. Had to get get our card keys recharged every night, but other than that it was nice.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place is beautiful, warm, and inviting.

Friendly staff, clean room, nice swimming pool. Also very nice size refrigerator and excellent free breakfast
