Room was clean, the furniture are old but clean. beautiful bay view and just there by the water. Dogs are welcome but no smell of pet . I wish if staffs are more friendly.

The location for this hotel was great! As a female solo traveler it was centrally located, very safe, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. Would definitely return!

The good! This location is one of my absolute favorites and the sunsets are breathtaking. It’s a hop, skip and a jump to get to the beach, it’s close to the casino if that’s your thing. Grocery Store and liquor store are real close too. You can stay on the back roads and avoid 101. The not good 😬. This property is not being maintained even on a basic level. It’s obvious everywhere you care to look, it’s falling apart and looks real sad in contrast with the old Surftides back before the property changed ownership. Even as a dog friendly hotel it was cleaner and well maintained. Vending machines were full, ice makers were operational, the rooms were furnished (yes, even with a dresser 😯), extra pillows were just a calm away and so many towels and the rooms were comfy! These rooms are stripped down bare, almost like they hawked anything that wasn’t nailed down and kept the minimum essentials….but hey, at least they kept the OG anchor light. iykyk ⚓️💡 This hotel does enjoy of the best spots on the beach with killer views and easy beach access and I guess that’s what management is banking on……today. The floor in my room was dirty upon arrival. If that doesn’t bother you and If you don’t need the vending or ice machines, Or need more than 1 towel, 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth and 1 floor mat for 2 people for 2 nights, you will feel right at home! Just a little lighter on the ole pocketbook. Oh, be careful out on the patios. Look for wood rot and some DIY reinforcements.

Staff were top-tier. Especially the front desk staff - excellent experience.
