We had third floor with ocean view and it was spectacular! We had a beautiful view from the living area as well as our bed! The kitchen was perfect and we were able to do a load of laundry, which was very helpful on our extended rode trip! We ate breakfast and a couple of dinners in the bistro. The crab bisque was five star. I had grilled shrimp on a garden salad with the house basil vinaigrette and it was exceptional. Breakfast was very good too. The only down side was it was stormy and apparently that knocked out the elevators so we had to lug all our stuff down three flights of stairs on check out. PS: The waitress in the bistro was a sweetheart!

We love this historic hotel! The rooms and public spaces are beautiful!

Room needed to be wiped down with Lysol wipes before staying. No dish soap in the kitchen. Spare bedding set, had hair in it

The room was very nice. The property was clean. I will definitely day here again.

We had a seamless Checkin. Our room looked just like the pictures and was very clean. when I needed some help, Quinn at the front desk went above and beyond to assist me and made me feel valued. The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The views from our hotel room of the ocean, and sunrise were amazing!! Definitely would come back again.

Definitely in need of updates. Great location and having indoor pool was nice.

We have been to Virginia Beach many times but this was our first time staying at the Colony. We were in one of the end rooms and found the floor plan worked very well and the rooms were spacious. Everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. The balcony was the largest of all of the places we had stayed at in Virgina Beach. The only downside to the balcony is that our room was very close to the neighboring hotel so there wasn't a feeling of privacy. The kitchen was well equipped. We cooked a few small meals there and had no issues. All of the small appliances that we used worked but some could use updating. The staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful. We had a trouble connecting to the WiFi when we arrived but once we contacted the office, it was resolved within minutes. We also liked that you were guaranteed a parking spot and didn't need to wonder if you'd be able to get another if you left. Some of them could be a little challenging to get in and out of, depending on the size of your vehicle. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and if we visit Virginia Beach again, the Colony will be at the top of our list when looking for a place to stay.
