The hotel was clean, and I give them credit for that. However, as a dark-skinned Latina, I felt uncomfortable during my stay. The gentleman who checked us in was not very friendly and responded to me in a very indifferent manner. I don’t know if it was because of my skin color or my hairstyle (I was wearing braids), but he made us feel unwelcome and looked at us with indifference. We were assigned a room in Hallway 3, but we had to go up a flight of stairs to reach another hallway. That hallway had a strong musty smell, unlike the first floor where the lobby is, which smelled fine. The room itself was clean, but I did not feel safe or comfortable enough to spend the night there. I only paid for one night, and I didn’t even stay. I took a shower and left because I simply did not feel comfortable.
