We encountered several issues at this hotel that make it unlikely we will return. When we first arrived there was a short but long-lasting line because only one young woman seemed to be able to speak although there were two behind the counter. A tablet took a photo of my face, even though I had provided my ID — very intrusive. When we entered the room, we immediately smelled ammonia. We tried to turn on the air conditioner to try to reduce the odor, but the thermostat didn't do anything. Later, when we got back from dinner, the temperature had dropped outside, and it was cold in the room, but we couldn't figure out how to turn on the heater. Without a fan or ability to drown out traffic noise we didn't sleep very well, and the cold didn't help at all. We were able to turn on the TV, but we couldn't get it to select a channel, and within a few seconds the screen would go dark. We gave up after several tries. Overnight, my phone dropped to 0% even though I had it plugged into the USB of the lamp, which of course I had turned off because we wanted a dark room while we slept. It turns out the lamp has to be turned on in order for the USB to work, which explains why the bulb was unscrewed when we first tried to turn it on. In the morning we hoped for a decent breakfast, but it was mushy apples, brown bananas and a choice of strange breads and prepackaged biscuits and instant oatmeal, but no milk. The tea selection was good, but that's not enough for a recommendation.

The room was quaint and comfy. Loved the fireplace!!! Breakfast was spectacular!!! The warm apricot scones were delicious!!! Kind and helpful!!!

No coffee maker. Room was nice size and extra towels were provided so that was nice. Basic motel- no breakfast but easy to park and close to the freeway and downtown Eugene spots.

There’s a Whole Foods right across the street. There’s a diner down the block and other areas to eat. The breakfast in the morning is a great little snacks, bagels, individually wrapped pastries, protein bars good on the go breakfast and coffee always available. Love that. Close to the Oregon Stadium meaning you could walk and it’s a nice walk 20 to 30 minutes Or you can take a cab close enough if you wanna walk over bridge to the stadium I would definitely stay here again It’s not the fanciest definitely effective and right across from college housing. There was never any fear of walking around at night. It felt safe.

The hotel name is a misnomer as there are no shops. There’s not even a lobby. No vibrancy whatsoever. The motel is right at the entrance to the freeway. The windows in the room are sealed shut, probably because the location is so sketchy. There was only 1 other car in the parking lot. It didn’t feel safe. I think only 1 other room was occupied, and that room had a loud barking dog in it.
