Very nice location

Nice room, great patio. The only issue was the mattress seemed cheap and worn out. I had a 2 queen beds room and both mattresses were sagging in the middle.

Regarding communication rating:If you are going to rent the property, just know that you cannot access the host even in an emergency. You cannot communicate with anyone that could advocate on your behalf. The property looks lovely and I’m sure it would’ve been great. I travel to Maine often so I am disappointed about this aspect of it. Because of this very practical concern, unfortunately I am likely not to rent the property again.

Front desk staff was nice. Bathroom was filthy, obviously they don't really clean it well. At least the sheets were not dirty. Breakfast was poor. Staff kicked us out right at 9:30am when it closed, not a minute of grace. Would not stay again.

The breakfast was really good, room was nice, staff was friendly!

The hotel itself was beautiful! It’s located on a college campus, which I had no idea about being from out of town. The property was clean, charming, and had a unique atmosphere that really set it apart from a typical hotel. Unfortunately, the sleeping accommodations left a lot to be desired. The beds were extremely uncomfortable, and there was a very bright light on the AC unit near the ceiling that made it difficult to sleep. Between the two, I got little to no rest during my stay. I truly hate to leave a less-than-positive review because the hotel has so much charm and potential. However, a good night’s sleep is one of the most important parts of a hotel stay, and unfortunately, that was the one thing this experience was missing. I hope these are things that can be improved because otherwise, it really is a lovely place!
