The resort was awesome! We only wished we were staying longer. The beds were firm but comfortable.

The front desk staff was friendly from the point that we checked in. I asked for a bottom floor room and was accommodated to my liking. The hallway floors were in need of a vacuum and we were missing a shower curtain in our bathroom. The clerk quickly provided us with a shower curtain and all seemed to be well on the first night. On the second night, we had a full trash can so we decided to take it out ourselves since we had had the DND sign on that day. When we removed the bag, we discovered that the bottom of the trash can was disgusting. Old food, Bandaids, liquid and trash was stuck to the bottom. When I brought this to the clerks attention, they did provide me a clean trash can. After this, I witnessed several housekeepers doing what I would call slacking off. Several times I would pass by a room with a housekeeper sitting down on their phone and cleaning nothing. After my experiences with the cleanliness of our room and the shower curtain, I couldn’t help but notice these things happening more than once. Our drains in the sink and shower were also extremely slow to drain. I understand it is a beach property, but for the price I feel more maintenance could be done to counteract this problem. The pool was basically our saving grace. Although there were hardly any pool towels, myself and my children loved and enjoyed the pool to its fullest. Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Was clean, had supplies for kitchen, and was very nice inside, but staff were hard to reach. Had to reach out 3 times to get an answer for our AC being broken in our room just to receive an answer. Communication was poor

The property was what I expected as I have stayed at that location many times.

Super clean room, great location, and excellent price.  The front desk clerk was comically surly.  To counterbalance I started being over the top polite which she didn't seem to appreciate.  Glad my wife happened to be in the office as well.  We had a good laugh about it. Will definitely stay again.  Lots of food options and two breweries in walking distance.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Aerie B&B! John, our wonderful host, and his staff were friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. Each morning, we were treated to a delicious breakfast. The B&B was clean, comfortable, and full of charm. Its location was perfect, as we could easily walk to everything downtown. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay during our visit to New Bern. We would definitely choose to stay here again!
