Excelent for a quick overnight stay lovely hotel, Very friendly staff room was basic but very clean. Bed was a bit harder than expected but okay. Would recommend this hotel if you need to visit or do business in the area. The food was of a good standard couldn’t fault the service. Shower drain blocked resulting in water flowing into the accommodation. Raised at desk but no offer to make good after being unable to use that facility. Previous free parking removed, charged on checkout with no reason to the change or notice before I had used the facility.

God check in and friendly staff

We tried to check in early as we were at a wedding during the day. The receptionist said unfortunately this wasn’t possible despite letting other people to do so and would let us know as soon as a room was available (no one contacted us at all). They offered to hold our bags but we later just found it unattended in the reception area. When we finally were able to check in, we were given a room with one tiny fan with a window that only opened 2 inches. When we queried this with reception, they said unfortunately all air con rooms were taken. We paid a lot more than other guests who had air con but the receptionist said it all depends on who you book with but she wasn’t clear on which websites would be best for booking rooms with air con. As for the room, there was no hot water for the shower and it was impossible to sleep in with the heat. Overall, this is quite an upsetting experience, especially when paying over £160 for the night.
