The rooms were excellent. The staff was great. The breakfast was yummy.

So I thought this hotel was newer and from the pictures, thought it looked decent for the price. Reviews raved about the breakfast. We get there and its built in 2015. I can see the breakfast area is small. Told breakfast runs to 9am which for a weekend is early. There is 1 slow elevator. Get to the room and smaller than I thought. Furniture was older. Bathroom was ok. There is a picture frame that was filthy. Tub was ok and fairly clean. Worst was the toilet. Remember grandma's bathroom with a cushioned toilet seat? The vinyl ones that are always ripping and scratching your butt cheeks? They had those. It was newer but still. Not hygienic. Asked front desk if they had another but she wasnt aware.our bathroom was empty of the hand soap bottle and lotion.. i did the text comment and they never responded although they said to text for issues. Also, the shower head was off center and so you have to stand close to the wall. Unfortunately the shampoo and stuff was were you stand next to the wall and i kept hitting them. The ac didn't cool as well as the beds were farther from the ac. The room was close to the end of the hall close to the main street. So you could hear the road noise. A bunch of Japanese ricers were at the gas station raving and later some older motorcycles were at the gas station and you could hear it. We've stayed in 3 La Quintas in Chattanooga and while it was the best, that's not saying much.

This was our first and probably last stay at this hotel. The rooms were suites and had little “kitchens” with some glassware and dishes, which was nice. But for the price, we were really disappointed. We were given a king room like we booked when we arrived, but after getting inside we found the last guest’s leftover food in the refrigerator and pieces of macaroni in the sink and dishes were still in the dishwasher. They switched our room and were given a double queen. That was ok, but in this room we found the floor by the dishwasher all wet when I slipped. We figured out later it had to be something else, because the floor became sticky even after we wiped it up and the carpet next to the counter was all wet, too. The bed was very comfortable and the water pressure was good, but we just didn’t feel like the cleanliness was up to the rating the hotel had. Lots of hotels in the area to choose from, we will try somewhere else next time.

Room and breakfast were very nice; property was pretty. Check in was an absolute nightmare. I arrived 6:20 PM and thought I was locked out. I called for help. I waited nearly 3 hours for someone to show up and when he did it turned out that it’s just that the old door sticks so terribly that it needs a special kind of secured code of push/push down/then pull to open. I actually cried a little in frustration and embarrassment when he popped it right open. We closed it and I showed him my best try - so he saw me slam my weight into it and kick it and have no luck until I figured out the stupid secret push and pull code to open it like he did. It was still hard but manageable. Mind you, I’d been trying that door the whole time - maybe 20+ individual tries slamming my weight into it and even locking it (because the lady on the phone said it might just be sticking and it was humid and miserable outside and I had important work I needed to do). I was not just waiting around. I’m 5’2” 105 lbs, so maybe I’m not that strong. However, even my college aged son couldn’t get it open when we stopped by later and I had him try. They didn’t offer any discount or even follow up or give even a cursory apology either. I’m sure they just thought I was a mindless idiot too stupid to figure out how to jiggle their door open. I otherwise loved my stay; but the way that was handled left a very sour taste in my mouth.
