Clean room roaches in the shower elevator not working

Great hotel: location near the Texas Tech football stadium/campus. Easy to drive the backroads to various restaurants. Room was quiet and clean. I was hesitant to stay here due to some of the reviews, but glad I took a leap of faith. Would stay here again. The lobby bar is great. Great view of the campus and stadium from the hotel room.

When I arrived there was no one in the lobby after I was driving on the road for 11 hours. After 15 minutes I almost went to a different hotel

Had a great stay. Staff was very helpful. Room was clean and comfy. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely a great place to stay.

First appearances when you arrive, privacy fence is falling apart in back of the facility. This is first tell tell time of owners. You can guarantee the ice machine doesn't work inside. I've traveled extensively and I know the signs so well. It's hot 100 degrees and you can almost guarantee the A/C don't work in the room you get. This is before I even check in. I'm booked here for several stays over the months. I check in. Going to elevator see a sign on the ice machine, ice machine out of service. The room. The A/C is working. Oddly I get the same room I got two weeks ago and told the desk clerk the room was so hot it was almost impossible to stay in much less get rest. This time same room same deal. Again I tell the desk clerk but can assure you the owner will never put a dime into fixing anything. It fits the agenda of so many other places such as this. My advice, don't book when it's summer for sure. More than likely the heat won't work in the winter as well? I'm surprised that Wyndom allows this hotel to have its name on this hotel. Apparently they haven't inspected the property and Managent.
