We had a smooth check in. Bed was comfortable. Couch was covered in crumbs, etc. I was pretty upset over that! Bathrooms were not the cleanest but not gross. I think this place needs a better cleaning crew and I wish the hot tub was open later.

Surprised that staff was so un-informed about anything & not pleasant when asked. No services (with as many people staying there.) We paid $62 for 2 pieces of fish, chips for each of us at Hotel restaurant. No coleslaw or salad to go with it. We went downtown (Parawan) next day to eat. Wonderful home cooked food @ DeeDee's & goodies too. Loved it. You could only call after # if you needed something.

Rochelle and Bunny, our hostesses, were wonderful! However, historic is the key word in the description of this hotel. Very few updates to this hotel. No a/c in the room, it is cooled by opening windows. No hot water in the bathroom lavatory.

Fireplaces didn't work, but loved the size and cleanliness! Staff was great too. One extremely expensive, overpriced and very limited menu, dinner only 5-9p. $60+ for a steak that wasn't any better than any good steak house.

The lodge smelt like smoke when we arrived with black dust by the fireplace.it was not cleaned, very very dusty which didn’t sit well with my allergies, the linens in the bedroom didn’t seem cleaned there was body odor on the pillows. there was dirty linens in garbage bags sitting in the bedroom tv stand. Not having internet this time a day was a killer as well.
