This is a really nice affordable place to stay.

What a lovely small hotel. The staff were amazing- helpful, warm, and inviting. The restaurant however was disappointing; the chef was unaccommodating as to a food sensitivity, and the food we received was at best mediocre. I'd surely skip dining at Suerte. Mostly, though we loved the place. The room was large and nice, but some of the decor was off. For example, the night tables in our suite were simply too small to be actually useful. My compact CPAP machine barely fit, and my wife's Ipad took up the full surface. The automatic overhead lights on the nice high ceilings were simply too harsh and didn't seem to offer dimming. The bathroom and shower were exceptionally nicely done. They nailed the design there. Also importantly, the bed wes really comfortable, while the pillows and linens were great. I knocked one star off for the harsh lighting, and tiny night tables. Value wise, the hotel was fine; the price seemed quite fair for the location, size of room, and overall experience.

There were several minor issues that were taken care of promptly, although the elevator was out the entire weekend. The air conditioning worked properly and the noise was very minimal. I was in the room next to the ice machine and you couldn't hear anything once the door was closed. The room was good and the bed was comfortable. Being able to walk to two of the areas of the park was also convenient. The front desk staff were pleasant and attentive. Breakfast was a slight disappointment in that the buffet was the only thing they served all three days. When I went in the first day and was told it was buffet only, I specifically asked if this would be the case the next day and they said no, Saturday is traditionally buffet only, but Sunday they allow for ordering from the menu. That was not the case. As there were a couple things I wanted to try, I was disappointed that I couldn't. Since the menu is in every room and posted outside the door, a simple sign saying buffet only when the menu was unavailable would have been appreciated. That said, the food was good, homemade, and they did a good job keeping it refilled. Only recommendation would be to invest in some mesh trays to keep the biscuit bottoms from overcooking on the hot tray and to elevate the bacon out of the grease. (Though the bacon was piled high and very crispy when not at the bottom.) But these are minor quibbles.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms and hallways were quite dated with some paint issues. Our room had a full kitchen which was nice. Breakfast was a disappointment though as every day the coffee was out and only one urn available. One day there were no plates for breakfast and nobody to ask. The price paid was good though considering the hotel market demand. I would stay again perhaps but the breakfast and physical upkeep are the major concerns.

It is only 6-7 weeks from opening. So it’s brand new. But it was well built (I have built a few hotels over the years). Very nice place on all accords.
