Absolutely gorgeous hotel in the perfect location. The room was clean and well-designed and the included breakfast was the best we had on our trip.

From arrival to departure our experience was first class. We loved the decor. The rich and varied fabrics were delightful; some were real eye-poppers! The bedroom, number 6, was comfortable and beautifully laid out. The bathroom, was wonderful. Our breakfasts were superb. Overall? Well I've run out of superlatives, five star all the way. Sharon was a big help.

We stayed for just one night, on our way to Orkney. The hotel was fine. We got a family room as it listed two bedrooms. In fact, it was two rooms with no door between them. I should have looked at at the reviews or called the hotel directly. Having failed to do so, I did not get a good nights sleep, listening to my family member snore. The hotel is definitely in an old building - charming, but it could do with some touchups. The included breakfast with a nice amenity though, I do wish they had options other than a full Scottish breakfast.

Lovely little stay for the evening, delicious food, quirky atmosphere
