Very clean, delicious breakfast, nice gym and pool, best hotel we stayed in on our trip to Alaska. Would come back anytime.

Very good property nestled in woods. The road to the hotel is uphill however the shuttle service is really good. The staff is very helpful and we very much enjoyed our stay. Just one point to note - If you arrive from Fairbanks by train you reach hotel by 12:30 pm and your room may not be ready till 4pm. It happened to us and we would have appreciated clear timeline for room availability so that we could have used those 4 hrs going to visitor center in the Denali park.

Such a great stay! I would highly recommend to anyone. Super clean, delicious breakfast, and great amenities - hot tub is awesome with the view. The location is in a peaceful area, just a short drive into town. We even saw a moose from the porch. The cabin we stayed in had everything we needed like coffee, robes, hot chocolate, etc. The cabin and lodge is also decorated very nice and fits the Alaskan vibe. Dawn, the owner, is so detailed, thoughtful, and helpful. She is a delight to talk to as well! Thank you for a great stay!

Stay: Late-May, 2026 This place was fantastic! Perfect for what we were doing--a quick one-night stay in Talkeetna, and then on to Denali NP. This little cottage is every bit as quaint and charming as shown in the Expedia listing. The place is about 2.5 hours to Denali, so it's a great mid-stopping place to take in a great area. It's clean, well-appointed, aesthetically pleasing, and yet very utilitarian. If you're a couple just looking to "chill" for two or three days before you hit Denali NP hard--do it here. You won't be sorry. Take a nap, do some reading, binge a favorite show, take an incredibly beautiful hike, walk or stroll, rent a bike, work on your photography skills, whatever. Then head into town for breakfast, lunch or dinner and take in some great Alaskan culture. I'd do this place again without hesitation.

All was good. Fun place with the bar down stairs. Just have to be good with sharing one of the 2 bathrooms with the other 8 or so rooms. We were able to get into the one with the standing shower without issue.

The room was fine . People kept fighting in middle of night in room by us . Screaming and yelling.

This place is better than it looks. Outside rundown but interiors were updated and cozy. The host had continental breakfast and beautiful mountain views, with stream adjacent to the property and a beautiful train track. You will hear the train at night but its not disruptive. Access to restaurants is limited and gas prices at Vitus (nearby gas station) are expensive, at least $2/gal more than average in Alaska.
