It’s fine as a baseline motel. The place is run down, especially as compared to the neighborhood- hallway carpets were musty, but the room’s was ok. Their hospitality is also baseline… strict 10:30 checkout, etc. Minihaha falls is close, which is why I chose the spot, and there’s bus and transit a block away. It worked out, though I personally would expect a lower rate for the quality.

The room was thoughtfully designed for a small room and was beautifully decorated. The onsite gym was well equipped and spacious. The bar/restaurant was delicious and well staffed. Only complaint, offsite self parking was a bit challenging, it was close but getting in and out of the garage on weekend required assistance from human versus automatic.

Parking after about 7:30 pm was only available in the next block Behind the bowling alley. Waste baskets overflowing. Staff not in uniform. Perimeter of rotating restaurant very dirty. Windows in restaurant blurred by film (designed to control heat?). Refrigerator freezer encased in ice. Room 1004. Elevator thresholds dirty. Same problem for several years.

We loved the friendly staff and the beautiful building. They have a historic bar and lovely patio which are both wonderful places to soak up the atmosphere.

The staff were amazing. The check in process was seamless and quick, she was super friendly and the rooms were clean. Also we loved the fitness centre it was fantastic!

Staff was so sweet and kind while helping me check in, i loved the location of the hotel, and it was so so so kind of them to upgrade my room when they ran out of the type of room i’d originally booked.

I was overcharged from the rate. I was guaranteed by hotels.com. The front desk employee refused to correct their charging error. When I try to follow up further the front desk employee said there’s nothing she could do and hung up the phone on me. I had to insist on talking to a manager who then later made the correction and apologized. Crazy behavior by a hotel employee.
