Very reasonable price for a nights stay! Nice to have 24 hour shuttle. Room was large. Just wished would have had a bar or restaurant or even better coffee on lobby. The coffee in room was not good!

Came in for an evening function. Was welcome by some random person begging for money right at the entrance. Room was decent but my clock could have used a wipe. Filthy was an understatement. Glad I didn’t need to touch it.

i would stay there again!!!

The rooms were well furnished and clean, you can tell there has been some recent renovations and all the furniture is nice and everything well maintained. Easy parking and easy check in. Good location for walking downtown, we only had a short walk to rogers area. We did have a late check out approved, however we still had the cleaners knocking on the door, which was a little frustrating as they proceeded to let themselves into the room. I feel like the entrance way/front desk could be more tidy, as it doesn't give a good expectation for the actual rooms, which are lovely. Would stay again 🙂

The room and hotel is clean enough. It is just dated and in need of Reno. Staff is great. The hotel is right beside the railway tracks but is surprisingly quiet. Convenient location to Whitemud.

I'm glad there is parking there, since parking is limited in the area. The hotel is close to the LRT station, so getting around is easy. One elevator was out of order and the hotel was busy.

Lack of attention to details by housekeeping was frustrating. Was woken up two days in a row by a 6AM alarm that was programmed into the clock radio. The alarm was set to a distorted radio scratching station, at full blast. On the first morning I turned it off in a panic and made sure there was no other alarms, but it happened again the next day even after i checked the night before that there were no alarms set. Not the hotel's fault, but I had been up until late bc a youth sports team checked in and kids were running in the halls until past midnight, so the unexpected early wake up on day 2 by a blasting radio felt extra sour. The fridge in the room was also broken and made a terribly disruptive whirring and clicking sound during the night so I had to unplug it. I will say that this location was great; having an Dennys and Chop restaurant attached is amazing. Overall the property is well maintained - a few small misses in this location but wanted to write this review because this was my 2nd stay at Sandmans in two provinces over the last few weeks and both spaces had issues - starting to wonder if this is a brand issue re: standards for room maintenance). Also thought it was curious that when I mentioned the alarm issue to front desk they didn't seem to care.
