Check in was good. Inside of our unit was clean; however carpet in stairwell was very dirty. Saw many trashes around the property. We stayed at stayAPT in other state which was clean and loved our stay. This particular property might have management leadership issues.

I went with a group of mom friends for the weekend. The place was nice. But they took forever to clean our room, our friends room was very gross and had large bugs in it, ours was totally fine. The pool from the photo looks larger than it actually is. We actually had a great time at the pool. The outdoor bar is a hidden gem. Super huge and under used. It was a nice place but I’m not sure I would go back. Great for a mom’s weekend.

The hotel overall it’s nice, but the elevator and room bathrooms are old and might need an update.

Not enough words….This was an amazing property. So beautiful and unique. What an awesome historical building to stay in. We loved the hotel, the staff, and the surrounding area. Within minutes, you are at the Charleston city market, the Rainbow Row Houses, and the bay. So much to see. We would definitely go back to Charleston, and stay at the Ansonborough property. Thank you for making our first trip, memorable.

BEWARE if using a debit card. This hotel had almost $3000 of my money and I only owed them $773.35. I booked a 3 night stay through Hotels.com. The total for our stay was $1106.93. I paid $333.58 through Hotels.com when I made the reservation. Therefore, only owed $773.35. Upon check in, I was charged $931 which included the room and a $300 incidental hold. I was not informed of what I was being charged when checking in so that was my fault. I have since learned what the $931 charge included. Upon checking out, there was one kid working the desk. It took quite a while to check out while he played with the computer. He asked if I wanted a receipt printed or emailed. I told him email was fine. They had a hard time running my card so they texted me and told me there was an issue. I transferred money from one account to another and had them run the charge again. Between Oct 29 and Nov 1, they put a hold on $931, $631, $631, $631, $140.12 for amenities and taxes and $2.26 destination fee. The hotel had a total of $2966.38 of my money. My bank told me they tried to debit my card for $631 10 times. It took 5 days for the initial $931 to fall off my account. It took another 5 days for the extra $631 and $631 to fall off my account. I asked for a receipt to be emailed to me 3 times and no one sent one. I finally got in touch with the manager, which took some time, who finally sent me my receipt. This was a nice hotel but we will NOT be back due to the incompetent staff

Valet parking was super convenient. Enjoyed the free breakfast, cookies and beverages in the afternoon. Was a great location-in walking distance to so many restaurants and stores. Loved our room. Bed was very comfortable. Only negative was the bathroom was pretty small

We had an interior room with no windows but it was very nice. I did recommend they add a night light to the bathroom as it is black with lights out. Unexpected breakfast bag was on the door when we got up. Roof top was great for a pre-dinner cocktail.

Excellent experience while staying here. Would definitely come back
