First off, the staff were helpful and communicative, making the check-in process a breeze despite our late arrival. The property is in a convenient location for our visit to the area, with plenty of very good dining options nearby and a short drive to the local attractions. Our room was in good condition and was reasonably comfortable, but while we were not traveling with any pets, the room smelled quite strongly of dog. If a property is pet-friendly, it would be nice if they kept some rooms restricted to guests without pets so that people traveling without any, as we indicated to them when asked, would not need to deal with such a smell. The biggest issue, however, was related to sound from our upstairs neighbor, who throughout one of the nights and into the early morning almost constantly made very loud stomping and banging noises as well as speaking at a clearly audible level. Obviously this is not entirely the fault of the hotel and its staff, but it still seems necessary to mention.

Room was super clean and everything was better than expected. We will definitely be going back in the near future!

Spacious room

Patti led the excellent 1.5 hour tour of the outdoor Von Trapp Family cemetery and shared the indoor video of Maria ‘s touching story in her own words. The grounds, interior and warm welcome transport one to Austria.

We have stayed here multiple times and each time it’s great!

The setting is gorgeous , but sitting on the veranda having dinner with friends I saw a big RAT running by! I didn't say anything as I didn't want everyone to freak out! Our meal was very good and the server was pleasant. Our room was small, but clean and nice. When we got into the room I noticed that my side of the bed was lower than the other side but didn't think much about it until I got into bed and realized that one half of the mattress was comfy but you kind of rolled down into a huge dip on the other side! The mattress was obviously somehow broken!! Ive stayed in lots of hotels over the years and have never had such a disappointing horrible nights sleep!! I used the extra pillows to kind of block myself from rolling down into the hole! My husband went to the front desk in the morning to tell them the mattress was really bad and needed to be replaced and they said they were sorry and would have maintenance take a look. I'm not sure how housekeeping missed that one because it was pretty obvious that the mattress had to go!
