Jacksonville Beach Vacation Packages

I loved the fact that we are right on the beach, that was very important to me. Room was clean but small. Also staff do not enter rooms to clean each day but will drop off things you need such as towels etc. I liked being able to rent beach umbrella and chairs as well and price is high but worth it. would stay here again.

Very nice property right on the ocean. We stayed in the lodge which we thought was a much better decision than the high rise condos. Room overlooked the 9th green and the Atlantic...beautiful. The Ocean Golf Course was AMAZING! If you golf you have to play it. Condition was impeccable. Greens cut and rolled every morning. Played the inland Conservatory as well. That was in fantastic shape too. The staff in every department was pleasant and helpful. On property restaurants were pricey but good. Amenities, bar pool, lazy river all very nice. The buildings themselves were a little tired. I think they may still be in recovery from a hurricane some years back. Put the priority $$$ on rebuilding the golf course Some deferred maintenance needs attention and the rooms were just so-so for the money. Lodge pool was kind of dirty and we watched 2 half wits rinse off their large dog IN THE POOL!! 4 stars basically because of the rooms hodge podge condition & dirty balcony.

When we arrived, we were somewhat surprised at the condition of the hotel, being a part of the Ritz Carlton chain. The hotel was rundown, floors were not swept or clean. Our hotel room smelt like dog urine. Will not go back.

The only thing we could find that we liked about this property was its location, right in the heart of old town area, walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. During our 2 day stay there we never saw any staff, no one greeted us upon arrival, we picked up our keys from a basket at the check-in desk. Our room had two twin beds, sheets were clean, mattresses were not very comfortable, plus they made squeaky, grunting noises with every time you moved. Our room’s smoke alarm was missing. The bathroom faucet was old, missing a part was surrounded by calcium buildup needing a good cleaning, and the sink stopper was missing. Shower had good water pressure and plenty hot water, however the clear plastic show curtain needs be replaced. Original hardwood plank flooring had several large gouges and rough spots throughout in need of repair and refinishing, you could never properly clean this floor in it’s current condition. Never checked out the restaurant or bar, they are not open during the week only weekends. Overall hotel decor was lacking, not much thought or attention to detail, most furnishings looking like a collection of vintage thrift store or yard sale finds. On the front of the property there were flags flying from the balcony, 2 have fallen down into the shrubbery, it’s was obvious they have been there for awhile, no one has bothered to pick them up. Overall property is in desperate need of repairs. We booked a 3 night stay, checked out after the second night.
