Las Animas Vacation Packages

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was great.

The cabins were closer to the highway than we expected so there was a lot of traffic noise. We also had several spiders in the cabin.

🚩🚩🚩AVOID AT ALL COSTS 🚩🚩🚩 The room was crawling with cockroaches, the carpet was absolutely FILTHY (looks like It hasn’t been vacuumed in several weeks, and NEVER shampooed), and over all condition of the room and property itself left EVERYTHING to be desired. My expectations were already so low, I really didn’t expect to be utterly disappointed and disgusted at literally every turn during my week long stay. The lack of maintenance all over this property might be borderline negligence T this point, and there has to be some kind of law they’re breaking by advertising a pool and spa when clearly, they haven’t been available for clients to use for YEARS. Both of them were filled with water, obviously were being cycled and warmed, and the strong smell of chlorine every morning was an indicator that they’re also clean. I’d be willing to bet the pool area is for private owner use only, and likely much cleaner than the shower that you are expected to use while paying for the privilege to do so. I stayed for a week, and saw the same crumbs on the floor in the hallway going to room 203 every. single. day. The only time these crumbs shifted in any way was when roaches were feeding on it. I’m also fairly certain that there were bedbugs in the room, as I suffered from inexplicable bites all over my lower body. I was not in the position to stay elsewhere, and was just happy to have a roof over my head, which is obviously the only people they make money off of. Be warned.

This is a property that’s actually a step above what we would normally expect. Great staff clean building. Wonderful free breakfast.
