Perfect for a quick overnight trip to Montauk

First of all, I never leave a review good or bad, but this experience was that bad. Got there and they had overbooked. They said they had 5 rooms that had been overbooked due to computer issue. Lady at front desk, who smelled like alcohol, told me I could go to another hotel in the next town over. Eventually got a room there. Hotel smells like an ash tray, toilet seat was barely connected to the floor, one of the beds did not have a plastic sheet to protect against bugs, and the whole property smelled of pot. Carpet was disgustingly worn. I would definitely not stay here again unless you can get it for half as much as they think they are worth.

I thought the front of the building and the lobby was great. I thought the staff was very helpful. The room was clean and tidy. The only problem I had was, the shower had very poor water spray for the shower, and verybad Staind inside the tub. The room did not look like the room that was advertised or hotel.com it was very outdated.

I grew up in the area, and know how old the place is, and it has run down. Quite a bit. Lights flicker or not truly work, musty, beds need updated, along with bedding. ( Queen size on king size. Poor quality, you get what you pay for obviously, but ehhh.

OK for the basics. Clean room, comfortable bed. Check-in was weird, had to speak to a person on a screen on a kiosk. Communication somewhat difficult, but it went smoothly enough. But, honestly, would much rather check in with a person at the reception desk then try to make myself understood to someone speaking to me over a TV screen at a different location. Subsequent customers spoke to a different person on the kiosk, so was obvious we were being checked in by people at a call center. Would rather not repeat that experience.

I kind of missed seeing part of the breakfast, but we were actually rushed for time. The thing I didn’t like at all is the smell of carpet powder, which I’m allergic. Overall, it was very clean and staff were friendly.
