Terrible property. They didn't want to rent to me because they said I smoked in the room but they came and checked the room and even gave me my deposit back because they're were no damages. The only reason they don't want me to stay longer is because I confronted them about stealing my things out of my room.

The carpets, bedding and curtains had stains. Otherwise the room was clean. Ice machine in the hallway did not work and had the front cover coming off. The fitness area had one piece of cardio equipment that worked (of the three) and the weight machine did not work properly. The pool had hair and oil that you could see on the top of the water. The breakfast was ok. The prepared food - eggs, sausage and gravy - were typical hotel food.

The property is in a great location - right next to Texas Tech, not far from restaurants and shopping. It would be nice if technology inputs were updated - however, that would be my only complaint. (Don't for get your plug, there are no USB connections within the room).

Other guests were very disruptive during late hours

We love staying at the Settles! We grew up in Big Spring and enjoy staying at this historical restored hotel!
