Excellent environment within auniversity. Clean and decent hotel with nice staff.

Nice spot- stayed here during a business trip. pros: comfy beds good pillows, lots of different lighting options, decent water pressure and a Mini fridge in the room and the temperature was comfortable. Cons: I was confused about the breakfast (it comes with some stay and not others but it was never offered as an option at check in and no explanation). Not sure what the extra $70 “resort” fee is for as I don’t believe there are any “resort” style amenities.I had to hunt down the ice machine (it’s on the 2nd floor btw). Could use a little spot to purchase snacks/soda/water, etc… since there’s no room service. Wanted to order from the restaurant downstairs but there were no menus or contacts in the room so I ordered door dash. Overall, I had a good stay, there’s just a few details and some clarification from the staff at check in, that I believe would have made it better.

**Title: Nightmare Stay: Hidden Fees, Security Failures, and Zero Accountability** I will never stay at the Historic Inns of Annapolis again. A planned pleasant stay turned into a stressful, sleepless ordeal due to predatory fees, massive safety issues, and insulting customer service. The Parking Bait-and-Switch: Days before arrival, the hotel emailed stating parking wasn’t included and valet used "dynamic pricing". When I tried to cancel via Hotels.com, the hotel refused to authorize a refund, trapping me in the booking. Not surprising, my charge was the maximum per day for both days of my stay. Major Security Breach & Dirty Room: Upon arrival, the valet escorted me to my room. The door was propped wide open. Fearing an intruder, the valet went in 1st and filmed the interior on my phone: the bed was clearly slept in and like a reverse Goldilocks. An unmonitored and wide open room is an abject security failure. Sleepless Night & Pathetic Resolution: I was moved to another room, but because of the terrifying security breach, I tossed and turned all night. I got zero sleep before my 6:30 AM work shift. The next morning, I showed management the video evidence. They apologized, but their idea of "making it right" was a joke: they merely refunded a hidden fee I didn't even know I was being charged. They offered absolutely no real compensation for the safety scare, the bait-and-switch, or the ruined night. Save your money and your peace of mind. Stay somewhere else.
