The staff is really nice and helpful. The rooms are pretty dated and not that nice. The carpets and blankets did have some stains on them. Ac unit did stop working one night and woke up with a very humid room. The breakfast bar is pretty small. A waffle maker, some cereal, yogurt, very tiny pastries, and bananas. That’s about it.

The hotel was amazing. The restaurant food was hands down incredible!

Great location within walking distance of the University of Iowa campus. Has an indoor pool, but closed for renovation. No parking lot, but there’s a parking garage next door. No valet parking and a luxury hotel should have this. Only had one working elevator and this created a huge delay and inconvenience, for a 9 story hotel. We ended up hiking up flights of stairs to reach our 5th floor room. This inconvenience continued for our entire 4 day stay. There is a coffee shop with excellent breakfast and many to go items. There is also a restaurant that is open in the evening. Food is also excellent there. More positives than negatives. The fitness center is outstanding with free weights, machines, and treadmills. Staff is friendly and helpful.
