The condition of the room is old where the varnish on the bathroom door is peeling off and there’s rust on the vest and light fixtures in the bathroom.

The reason this hotel stands out is because it was just totally refurbished. You can still smell the new paint in my room. Apparently the Spark brand buys older hotels and then modernizes them up and redoes them.
