Great staff, rooms need better housekeeping

Like how secluded the property is. Needs major fixture upgrades in the bathrooms. Had issues with toilets and shower. The remodel was done poorly in the restrooms. I won’t stay again due to bathroom issues. Toilets are small, fixtures were loose, paint splatter in floors, caulking was mess in both bathrooms.

I stayed with my daughter at Hyatt House Tallahassee Capitol from August 16 through August 25, and we had a very positive experience. One highlight of my stay was the hotel staff. Everyone I interacted with was consistently friendly, courteous, respectful, and willing to assist whenever needed. Their professionalism and warm attitude made me feel welcome throughout my entire stay. Good customer service can make a big difference when you're away from home for several days, and I truly appreciated how I was treated. The hotel also has an excellent, convenient location. It makes getting around Tallahassee easy, whether you are driving or prefer to walk. Restaurants, a supermarket, a gas station, and other useful places are nearby, which was especially convenient during an extended stay. The location let me take care of many everyday needs without driving everywhere. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained when I arrived, which gave me a very good first impression. I also appreciated the Hyatt House amenities, especially for a longer stay. Overall, my experience was very pleasant. I would gladly consider staying at Hyatt House Tallahassee again and would recommend it to others visiting the area.

Close enough to FSU. Spacious rooms. Due for a renovation. Beds comfy but pillows are lumpy. Understaffed causing long waits at reception. Rooms clean enough but shabby. Hall carpet overdue for a cleaning. Room door was difficult to operate and the room keys didn’t always operate the door. Rooms were low on stock of towels - but when we asked we received sufficient towels. My family liked it better than the last 3 places we stayed near FSU. Ample parking. Quick walk across the street for KFC and the convenience store for snacks and beverages. Would stay there again but it’s not the Taj Mahal or Buckingham Palace.

The check-in process was easy. The room was clean, but the dry pain was peeling from the ceiling and the walls. Went out to my car to get my meds was wearing sox. When I walked back to my room door I slipped on the very smooth and slippery sidewalk and injured my right and left hand, my left knee and foot. No fractures, but very painful and bruised up good. Upon checking out, I mentioned to the front desk and suggested that maybe thru should change the surface of the side walk to something else.
