It was an ok stay. The room could've been cleaner and the breakfast leaves a lot to be desired. But for the money it was fine.

The room was comfortable. The breakfast wasn't as nice as I was expecting. Very limited. Staff were very friendly.

Here’s the revised review with that added: Overall, our stay was just okay. One thing that was disappointing was that the “hot tub” was actually a shared community hot tub that was almost always occupied by other guests. The listing didn’t make it clear that it wasn’t private. We also ended up in a “cottage” that was actually on the second floor of a house, requiring stairs. I had specifically searched for accommodations without stairs, so this was a significant inconvenience. The kitchen was missing some basic cookware. There wasn’t a pizza pan or baking sheet to use the oven, and when I asked if one was available, I was told there wasn’t one. There was also no dishwasher, so we had to hand wash all of the dishes before checking out. The linens were very soft and comfortable, but unfortunately the mattresses were not very comfortable, which made it harder to get a good night’s sleep. Overall, the stay had a few positives, but if accessibility, a private hot tub, a well-equipped kitchen, or a comfortable bed are important to you, it’s worth asking the host for clarification before booking.

No refrigerator in the room (night desk clerk went and found one). 1 small table and 1 small chair in the entry room (reservation for a party of 6). No water in the indoor pool (luckily the kids didn't just jump in). Menstrual stain on comforter. Full length mirror in room just leaning against the wall. We were pleased with the night clerk, she did her best. We will NOT stay here again.

This was my second stay! I love this place. The staff brought over extra blankets/sheets upon request. Very nice place to stay with a lovely yard in a quiet neighborhood. A perfect spot to relax after a long day of driving.

Had a great stay! We have stayed in Deadwood many times and truly enjoyed our stay here.

Clean room, clean hallways and common areas and decent breakfast

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past few years. I really like it for several reasons. It is well maintained and very clean. Everything in my room over the years worked well and the water pressure is always very good. The best part of the room is that I can park my car out front of my room and I don't have to go through the casino. The bed is exceptional comfortable and my room was very clean. I also love the grounds and the lay out of this hotel. The grounds are wonderful with the creek that runs behind it and you can sit out on a deck overlooking the creek. Very peaceful. I also love that they have a trolley service for only $2 to take you to to downtown Deadwood. I love the location of the hotel since it is close to lots of things including downtown Deadwood but far enough away that you don't have any noise. It is tucked around a bend down from the main area of Deadwood. The front desk staff have always been incredibly friendly and helpful with my bookings and my questions about the area. This hotel is now under new management but I received the same exceptional service from the front desk staff as I always have. The new owners also freshened up the outside with a new coat of darker paint and changed the doors from a dark forest green to a bright red color which is very nice. Makes it stand out more! I would definitely continue to stay here even under the new owners.
