Overall, our stay was good, and the staff members we interacted with were helpful and kind. The hotel is also a convenient, short drive from Hersheypark. Some of the amenities were outdated, particularly the gym, although I still appreciated having one available. I also appreciated the water cooler, cookies, and tea bar in the lobby. However, I was concerned about the large cooler of alcohol bottles in the lobby. There were times when it appeared to be unattended. Some guests who were clearly intoxicated brought bottles from the lobby into the hot tub area, which created a safety concern. I also had an upsetting experience with a couple at the pool who said they were regular guests. They were drinking heavily, and the wife made blatantly racist remarks to me, apparently not realizing that I am in an interracial relationship. I later learned that they had previously been flagged for making inappropriate comments at the pool. If the hotel is already aware of this pattern of behavior, I hope it will take stronger steps to protect other guests. I’m glad we used the pool on our first day because it was out of order by the second day, which was disappointing. We also found a ball underneath our bed, suggesting that the room had not been cleaned as thoroughly as it should have been. There were definitely positive aspects to our stay, but the cleanliness issue, alcohol-related safety concerns, and handling of repeat guests with known inappropriate behavior need attention.

Charming place.

Bed bugs. I've never been bitten before. Got one on the arm and a dozen bites just under the waist of my pants. That alone is worth giving this place a terrible review. The room seemed clean otherwise, and had hardwood floors. The other guests were loud and rude. yelling down the hallways at night. This was due to the club there, with many drunk people out after. I hope they got bitten. The restaurant food was actually pretty good, and that's where the 2 stars comes from. Eat there and then run away.

Overall, this hotel was functional enough to stay in, but the lack of cleanliness and maintenance made the experience disappointing. The room had a strange smell, a very dirty full-length mirror, dirt around the bathtub and bathroom corners, and what appeared to be mold between some tiles. The room phone and safe did not work; I was told none of the hotel's safes worked and was advised to leave valuables in my car because it was a "good area." This was concerning, especially since police were detaining someone across from our floor shortly beforehand. The alarm clock repeatedly went off at 3 AM despite being turned off, and the pullout couch mattress was extremely thin. The pool area also appeared poorly maintained, with dirty windows and grime or algae around the pool and jacuzzi tiles. No towels were available there, requiring a trip to the front desk. Breakfast was minimal. The eggs were burnt and dry, sausage sat in liquid, coffee was unlabeled, and apples were bruised. Most concerning, I watched someone use the same rag to wipe the floor and then the counter. Waffles and cereal were good. The lobby was tidy, but the couches were visibly dirty. Overall, this hotel needs significant improvements in cleaning, maintenance, and quality control.

We normally don’t stay at Super 8 hotels, but gave it a chance based on recent positive online reviews. The hotel appears to be recently renovated, staff was nice, hotel room was clean, air conditioning was cold. Mini fridge with freezer and microwave were new as well. Close to Hershey park.
