What a unique place. An old Catholic school converted into a hotel. Even had a basketball court! The room was spacious and had the original school blackboard on the wall with chalk! 😂 The only thing to keep in mind - no elevator. So request 1st floor if you have heavy luggage. Staff (James) was awesome. Will absolutely stay again if I’m in the area!!

Overall, disappointed with our stay. Definitely not worth what we paid for. There is not a front desk person so its hard to ask any questions or get any issues resolved unless the restaurant is open (we called the manager phone number that we found in the community room and they didn't answer). Also, the email listed on their website does not work. We were not provided any information about Wi Fi access or check out times when we checked in and that information was no where in our room. We had conflicting check out times on our reservation confirmation email and with no one to ask, we decided to wake up early to make sure we didn't incur a late check out fee. We didn't have the chance to dine at Ophelias but there are a few cafes and restaurants withing walking distance. Depending on the purpose of your trip, this may or may not be the right place for you. There's potential with this place but I would not recommend at this time especially for the price (must mention we visited during the World Cup).

Beautiful hotel, great staff, clean

The hotel itself is older and had a noticeable smell throughout. The location was excellent—we were able to easily hop on and off the streetcar, which made getting around very convenient. The biggest disappointment was the continental breakfast. It was much more limited than expected, with only bread, cereal, and muffins available. There were no pancakes or waffles, which was very disappointing. Overall, the location and updated rooms were positives, but the breakfast and overall condition of the hotel left room for improvement.

Clean, good, hot breakfast. Definitely worth the cost.
