If rating solely on location I would give it 5+ stars. Right in the middle of everything. The staff at check in are very friendly and the room was very clean. That being said, the hotel itself is quite run down. One of the 2 elevators was broken which made wait times long, sometimes over 10 minutes long.

The hotel was in the midst of renovations during our stay. The roof top balcony is very nice. Staff was very helpful.

Great location, especially if you are spending time in Cap/ First hill or Belltown. The water is a nice walk. Good for families or people who want more space then a standard hotel room provides. The beds and bedding(pillows) have seen better days and the quality is not great. Bring your own hairdryer- the one in the room was cheap and smoked when we tried to use it. Pack your tolietries thoughtfully, as only soap, shampoo and conditioner are provided. We have stayed here before, the quality of the bed, bedding was not as good this time around and the floors could use a good cleaning as the grout was very dingy. Looking forward to the roof top restaurant opening soon.

We chose the Belltown for it's location. The only reason I gave it a 4 star was because the elevator didn't work when we were checking out. The room was clean, as well as the rest of the building. It was within walking distance to Pike's Market and the Space Needle. Next door is a nice (busy) bisquit and gravy food stop but not many breakfast locations. One road over is there is quite a few places for dinner. If you go towards town don't head directly south. There were quite a few homeless for 3 blocks. Go west then cut down.
